Hello all at CCE

Went to "Great Gig in the Sky " last thursday night at Laycock St. Theatre with 2 of my sons , Easily one of the best nights we have all had for years.

Congratulations on an entertaining, polished , professional, show.

I have played at Laycock st theatre ( In the orchestra pit ) & have been to heaps of shows in the audience & have not seen many standing ovations & audience reaction like you guys & ladies got.

We are looking forward to your next show in gosford , How about Led Zepplin?

I'm sure after the vibe at last weeks show you would sell out for sure.

BRING ON THE NIGHT

One of the things I've missed as I've gotten older and more in debt, is going to rock concerts. It's expensive ... and most of the time you're shelling out to sit in the nose-bleed section of a gigantic auditorium - while the artist performing for you is on a stage so far away, it's barely in the same postcode. Theatre's become more my speed; the intimacy and affordability of our local theatres and the quality of entertainment is hard to beat. Then I got to see Contemprée/Calderazzo Entertainment's (CCE) tribute to Sting and The Police - Bring on the Night. CCE have a stable of gifted singers and musos, with a searing sound system to do them justice. I was in my element - surrounded by Generation-Boom-Baby-Xers like myself (who possibly also caught the real Police back in 1979 at the Hordern Pavillion). Some arrangements were a bit different, others more authentic, but the depth, of talent in the band and the obvious rapport they share, created the kind of atmosphere that wound back the clock for me, especially when the crowd got on their feet for the last few tunes. Laycock St theatre - a pulsing rock concert venue. Who knew? I believe CCE have more to come...so watch this space!

The program continues to develop with concerts from Contemprée Calderazzo (Pink Floyd and most recently Sting/The Police) becoming a regular event. These rock concerts feature top class vocalists with a professional house band and are a very popular event at their home in The Basement in Sydney. We hope to get a Led Zeppelin concert in August and a Beatles concert in September, so contact the theatre or check out the website for more details closer to the date.

So Loved seeing "Bring on the Night". We desperately need gigs like yours on the coast. It is impossible for us to get out to Sydney with kids and work. We have teenagers who are in real need of experiencing the wonderful talent of all the artists you brought together.

I have been coming to your shows now for many years, I think possibly since the first one at the Basement and have always wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed every single one. The eagles show on Saturday night was no exception and a world class performance in every way. As a big fan of guitar oriented music I have found your playing over the years mesmerizing as well as all the other excellent guitarists you have with you in each show.
